Be A Redthread

“You've been a major ray of light in the dark. Thanks for all your kindness and compassion” - a young person to their Redthread youth worker ✨

This Christmas, we are asking you to #BeARedthread by donating to our work to empower young people to thrive, away from violence and exploitation. With your support, Redthread youth workers can help young people be healthy, safe and happy.

Redthread continues to be there and advocate for young people through the obstacles and challenges recent times have brought us.

We know they need our support more than ever.

Through our work, we have seen that many young people’s mental health has suffered, we have sadly seen an increase is self-harm and suicidal ideation. Some have also missed out on all the formative experiences of adolescence during the pandemic lockdowns, and many experienced job losses and financial hardship.

The future looks uncertain for many, but with your help, Redthread will continue to work shoulder to shoulder with the NHS and be there for every young person who needs us.

So far this year, we have empowered over 1,500 young people to break free from cycles of violence and exploitation. Can you help us be there for these young people as they live a life away from violence?

This Christmas, #BeARedthread❤️

Thank you for believing in the power and potential of young people.

£15 could help provide a Redthread youth ambassador with an opportunity to use their voice and experience to shape Redthread’s work and policies.

£25 could help our Young Women’s team support young women and girls who have been affected by violence and/or exploitation.

£50 could help alleviate the many pressures faced by nurses and doctors by Redthread youth workers being present in hospitals and reducing readmissions.
