Work for Redthread

Welcome to our careers page! We’re excited that you’re considering joining our team. To help you have the best possible experience when applying for one of our roles, here’s some key information you should know:

How to Apply

  • Application Process: All job vacancies are listed on our website. To apply, please use the “Apply Now” links in each job pack, which are below. We do not accept speculative CVs.
  • Focus on Experience: We don’t rely on CVs to determine your fit for a role. Instead, we want to hear about your experiences. We use the Applied application system to help us anonymously review and score your answers. More on how the Applied application process works can be found here.
  • Showcasing Your Skills: To demonstrate your skills, we recommend using the STAR method when answering application questions. You can learn more about the STAR method here.
  • Information on the benefits we offer can be found by clicking on this link.

Job Pack

Each job pack provides detailed information about our organisation, the role, and what we’re looking for in a candidate. Make sure to read through it carefully to understand the role and how you can best present yourself.

Reasonable Adjustments

We are committed to ensuring an inclusive application process. If you need any specific adjustments, please let us know by contacting us at applications@redthread.org.uk or calling our HR team on 020 3744 6888.

Interview Process

If you’re shortlisted, you’ll typically be invited to a panel interview. This will include the role’s manager and two other panel members. Depending on the role, you might also be asked to give a presentation or complete a written exercise. Detailed instructions will be provided in your interview invite. Check the proposed interview dates in the job pack to plan ahead if you need to book time off work.

Equal Opportunities

Redthread is committed to the fair treatment of its staff, potential staff, or users of its services, regardless of age, disability, neurodiversity, gender identity, marriage and civil partnership status, pregnancy and maternity, race (which includes colour, nationality, and ethnic or national origins), religion or belief, sex or sexual orientation, or criminal record status. We actively promote equality of opportunity for all with the right mix of talent, skills, and potential and welcome applications from a wide range of candidates.

We value the positive impact that living experience can bring to our organisation and will consider candidates with criminal records. Please find a link here to read our Recruitment of People with Criminal Records Policy.

Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion

At Redthread, we’re exploring new ways to improve our approach to equality, diversity, and inclusion while building a culture where all colleagues feel valued, respected, and empowered to be who they are at work.

We aim to achieve a diverse workforce that reflects the communities and young people we support. In particular, we recognise the under-representation of people from Black and Asian communities and other minoritised ethnic groups, as well as those with disabilities, in the charity sector. We welcome and encourage applications from these historically excluded groups, as well as those who identify as male.

Safeguarding

Redthread prioritises safeguarding in all its activities. All successful candidates must demonstrate a firm commitment to effective safeguarding, child protection practices, and high professional standards in all safeguarding issues.

If you are dynamic, driven, and passionate about working for an organisation that helps young people live healthy, safe, and happy lives, take a look at our vacancies listed below.
