Young Women’s Worker (St. Mary’s Hospital) c. £24,000 – £28,000

Thanks to funding from London’s Violence Reduction Unit, we are looking for an outstanding, experienced professional to join our team at St Mary’s as a Young Women’s Worker. Please note we are recruiting a female worker for this role, which is exempt under the Equality Act 2010 Schedule 9, Part 1. Our Young Women’s Workers support young women affected by violence and gang activity by working intensively with them to help them secure a positive future. To do this well you need to be a people person; passionate about supporting young people, and excited at the prospect of working in a fast-paced and exceptionally busy environment. This clip from BBC News will give you a taster of what we do every day, and you can see more about the Young Women’s Service in this clip from Sport Relief in 2018.

Youth Intervention Practitioner (Homerton Hospital) c. £24,000 – 28,000

Thanks to funding from London’s Violence Reduction Unit, we are looking for a new person to join our Youth Violence Intervention Programme team at Homerton Hospital. As a Youth Intervention Practitioner based in the A&E department, you will support young people and families who are experiencing serious violence, trauma or tragedy. To do this role well you need to be a people person; passionate about supporting young people, and excited at the prospect of working in a fast-paced and exceptionally busy environment. Our work was featured on BBC News which gives a taster of what we do.

Programme Coordinator (UCLH) c. £22,000 – £24,000

This role is part of our new Youth Violence Intervention Programme (YVIP) at University College London Hospital (UCLH) which we are launching in January 2020. To succeed in this role you will be an enthusiastic individual who is highly organised, enjoys collecting and reporting on data, and has the ability to form effective working relationships with a wide range of people.

To succeed in this role you need to be a strong leader, who advocates for a trauma-informed approach, for the team and for the young people we support.
