Join #TeamRedthread this March and help us to ensure all young people affected by violence and exploitation have the support they need to thrive.
About the event
Redthread is on a mission to break cycles of serious youth violence and ensure all young people can be healthy, safe and happy. This March, we are challenging our supporters and friends to #RacewithRedthread!
As part of the challenge, we ask that you raise £150 (excluding Gift Aid) in sponsorship offline or through JustGiving. This could pay for immediate crisis intervention support from a specialist Redthread Youth Worker for a young person recovering from violence in hospital.
When: 1st – 25th March 2022
Where: Anywhere!
Fundraising target: £150 (excluding Gift Aid)
We want to ensure #RacewithRedthread is accessible to everyone. If you need any additional support to take part, please get in touch with us at fundraising@redthread.org.uk.

FAQs
Why is 25 years important?
25 years is an important milestone for us here at Redthread. Not only did we celebrate our 25th birthday last year, but we also support young people up to the age of 25. Many services for young people are capped at 18 years old, leaving those aged 19-25, particularly exploited adults, to fall off of a cliff edge of support. At Redthread, we believe all adolescents should have the specialist support they need to thrive.
How much do I need to raise?
We are asking you to please raise a minimum of £150 (excluding Gift Aid) to support our work with young people. This could provide vital crisis intervention support for a young person recovering from violence in hospital.
Does it cost to take part?
The challenge is free to enter, but we do have an option to pay £10 (inc. p&p) for a Redthread running vest.
How will I fundraise?
Through the JustGiving platform. Donating through JustGiving is totally secure and setting up a page is quick and easy. We will answer any questions you have and provide you with information about how to set your page up.
How do I ask people to donate?
We will support you with your fundraising and share some tips for getting started, including how to share your JustGiving page and images you can post on social media.
I can’t take part… can I still support Redthread?
Absolutely! You can donate directly to our JustGiving page here. If you’d like to find out more about other events we have charity places in, email us at fundraising@redthread.org.uk to speak to the team.
I have another question!
Please get in touch with us at fundraising@redthread.org.uk and we’ll be happy to help.
