Redthread COVID-19 Appeal
Violence hasn’t gone away, and neither has Redthread.
COVID-19 has disrupted life as we know it, not seeing loved ones through social distancing, working from home, no school or college and the list goes on. In these times of uncertainty and change, young people need Redthread more than ever. While our youth workers are not present in the A&E’s, to make sure our inspiring NHS colleagues can tackle COVID-19, we are still supporting and engaging with young people remotely.
As a charity, the generosity of the public is incredibly important to the delivery of our services. We understand many people will find this a financially difficult time that’s why we ask for a donation of any size; the £5 for that after work pint, £15 on that dinner out or the £6 normally spent on your daily commute. Whatever you can give, it will go towards where it’s most needed in ensuring young people can be healthy, safe and happy during these challenging times.
Thank you for your support 💙
#StayActiveWithRedthread is a 14-day challenge of various activities centering around Redthread’s message to stay healthy, stay safe and stay happy. The challenge is designed to uplift, connect you with others and raise awareness about Redthread’s work supporting young people alongside our incredible NHS colleagues. Please donate as little or as much as you want to take part in the challenge. Whatever you donate, it will go towards helping young people. We understand that these are difficult times, so you have the option to fundraise while completing the challenge, or just simply enjoy the activities! You can access it here.
We’d love to see how you get on, so please don’t forget to share your #StayActiveWithRedthread results on social media!
‘Stay safe all of you (Redthread youth workers) and hope to have you back on our wards soon. You’re part of our team and a valuable asset to the vulnerable patients we see on the unit’ – an NHS frontline worker.
